Terms of Service
Please read these terms carefully before using the Samurai VPN service

These Terms of Service (hereinafter "Terms") set forth the conditions of use for the iPhone & iPad VPN service "Samurai VPN" (hereinafter "the Service") provided by SecureSS (hereinafter "the Company"). By using the Service, you are deemed to have agreed to these Terms.
Article 1 (General Provisions)
- These Terms apply to all relationships between the Company and users of the Service (hereinafter "Users").
- The Company may establish individual terms of use (hereinafter "Individual Provisions") in addition to these Terms, and such Individual Provisions shall constitute a part of these Terms.
- In the event of any conflict between these Terms and Individual Provisions, the Individual Provisions shall prevail.
Article 2 (Service Description)
- The Service is an encrypted communication service (VPN) for iPhone & iPad using the VLESS + XTLS-Reality protocol.
- The Service provides encrypted internet communication routed through servers located in Japan.
- The content, specifications, and terms of the Service may be changed without prior notice at the Company's discretion.
- The Service does not guarantee access to specific websites or online services.
- Connection speed and quality are provided on a best-effort basis, and no specific quality level is guaranteed.
Article 3 (Formation of Service Agreement)
- The service agreement is formed when the User purchases a subscription to the Service through the App Store.
- Users must be 18 years of age or older.
Article 4 (Account Management)
- Users shall manage the Service connection information at their own responsibility.
- Transfer, lending, sharing, selling, or public disclosure of connection information to third parties is prohibited. However, use within the same household is permitted.
- The Company assumes no liability for any damages arising from unauthorized use of connection information.
Article 5 (Service Fees and Payment)
- Service fees shall be in accordance with the pricing schedule separately determined by the Company.
- Payment is made via App Store in-app purchase (auto-renewing subscription) through Apple. The Company does not receive or store your credit card information.
- Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- The Company may change fees by providing prior notice. Changed fees will apply from the next renewal period.
Article 6 (Free Trial Period)
- New Users will be provided with a 3-day free trial period.
- No charges will be incurred if the User cancels during the free trial period.
- After the free trial period ends, the fee for the selected plan will be automatically charged.
Article 7 (Refund Policy)
- Due to the nature of the Service, refunds after purchase are generally not accepted.
- Refunds for subscriptions purchased through the App Store are handled by Apple in accordance with Apple's refund policy.
Article 8 (Prohibited Activities)
Users shall not engage in the following activities when using the Service:
- Activities that violate laws, regulations, or public order and morals
- Criminal activities or activities that facilitate crime
- Activities that infringe on copyrights, trademarks, portrait rights, privacy rights, or other intellectual property rights
- Cyberattacks such as unauthorized access, DDoS attacks, malware distribution, or port scanning
- Sending spam emails or phishing activities
- Reselling, redistributing, or publicly disclosing the Service's connection information to third parties
- Reverse engineering, decompiling, or analyzing the Service
- Defamation, slander, threats, or harassment against other Users or third parties
- Activities that place excessive load on the Company's servers or network
- Any other activities deemed inappropriate by the Company
Article 9 (Service Suspension and Interruption)
- The Company may temporarily suspend or interrupt the Service in the following cases:
- When performing maintenance or inspection of servers and network equipment
- When server or communication failures occur
- When force majeure events such as natural disasters, power outages, wars, or terrorism occur
- When the Company otherwise deems it necessary
- The Company will endeavor to provide advance notice of scheduled maintenance whenever possible.
- The Company shall not be liable for any damages incurred by Users due to temporary suspension or interruption of the Service.
Article 10 (Usage Suspension and Forced Termination)
- If a User violates these Terms, the Company may suspend the User's access to the Service or terminate the service agreement without prior notice.
- In such cases, no refund of previously paid service fees will be provided.
Article 11 (Disclaimer)
- The Service is provided "as-is." The Company makes no warranties regarding the completeness, accuracy, reliability, or usefulness of the Service.
- The Company does not guarantee access to specific websites, applications, or services.
- The Company does not guarantee connection speed, stability, or latency.
- The Company assumes no liability for any disputes arising between Users and third parties as a result of using the Service.
- The Company shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use of the Service, regardless of foreseeability.
Article 12 (Limitation of Liability)
- In the event the Company is liable for damages to a User, the amount of such liability shall be limited to the most recent one month's service fee paid by the User.
- The right to claim damages shall expire if not exercised within one year from the occurrence of the damage.
Article 13 (Privacy and Log Policy)
- The Company does not log Users' communication content, browsing history, or destination IP addresses.
- The information collected by the Company is limited to the following:
- Information necessary to verify in-app purchases (transaction information provided by Apple and an anonymous identifier)
- Anonymous traffic volume statistics (for service quality improvement)
- Payment is processed through Apple (App Store); the Company does not receive payment details such as credit card numbers.
- The Company will not provide Users' personal information to third parties except as required by law. As stated above, since we do not retain communication content logs, the information that can be disclosed is limited.
Article 14 (Intellectual Property Rights)
- Copyrights, trademarks, and other intellectual property rights related to the Service belong to the Company.
- Users may not reproduce, distribute, transmit, or repost content of the Service without the prior written consent of the Company.
Article 15 (Cancellation and Withdrawal)
- Users may cancel anytime from Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions on their iPhone or iPad by selecting Samurai VPN and tapping Cancel Subscription.
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and the Service remains usable until then.
- No partial refunds are provided. Refund requests are handled by Apple (App Store).
Article 16 (Changes to Terms)
- The Company may change these Terms when deemed necessary.
- The revised Terms shall take effect from the time they are posted on the Service's website.
- The Company will endeavor to notify Users of significant changes where possible.
- If a User continues to use the Service after the Terms have been revised, the User shall be deemed to have agreed to the revised Terms.
Article 17 (Governing Law and Jurisdiction)
- These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Japan.
- Any disputes relating to the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Tokyo District Court as the court of first instance.
